SUBJECT: Thank you, and how can I help?

Hi, [Their name],

I wanted to take some time to let you know how much you're valued. I'm really grateful to have you as my work wife/hubby/friend – you [insert positive verb, i.e. ground, help, ignite] me. Seriously. Thank you for helping me with [project, task, conversation] the other day. I couldn't do this job without you. If there's anything I can do to be a better workplace ally for you, please let me know. I want to help you achieve awesome things here, so we get to continue to work together. How can I help advocate for you?

All the best,

[Your name]

SUBJECT: Thank you, and how can I help?

Hello, [Their name],

I wanted to take some time this Juneteenth to let you know how much I value you as my colleague/manager/partner. I've learned a lot from you and have appreciated having your voice/insight/expertise on our team. I would like to become a better workplace ally to help both of us be better professionals for one another. I'd like to start by [insert advocate action item] and having a conversation about your professional advancement goals. How can I support and advocate for you?

If you'd like to set aside some time to discuss, my door is always open.

All the best,

[Your name]
